Dr. Aviv is a bilingual clinical psychologist and a board certified pediatric neuropsychologist. She earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Connecticut (1996), and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey with a concentration in pediatric neuropsychology and community mental health. Dr. Aviv is a fellow of the American Board of Pediatric Neuropsychology (ABPdN), serves as an ad-hoc examiner for psychologists seeking board certification, and was recently elected to the ABPdN board. She has taught a wide range of undergraduate and graduate level courses at various universities and has published research papers in leading academic journals. Dr. Aviv has a broad range of expertise with professional interests in cognitive, emotional, social and language development, identity formation, parenting, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Dyslexia, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and new immigrant issues. She sees local and international clients at her clinic in Raanana, and is a board member of Get Help Israel.

Alyson thank you for your presentation. I felt validated on using sometimes English, sometimes Hebrew and even translating certain expressions into Portuguese to clients. Now I understand that it helps to create more layers of meaning and to be used strategically.
