Hi there. My name is Shirley Perry and I've been working as a therapist for just over 30 years. The IFS lens is my primary mode of therapy today, while I also use attachment healing, mindfulness, yoga, and cognitive tools when beneficial. As a Certified IFS Therapist I also offer supervision to therapists who wish to develop their skills in this modality. Over the years I've worked with children of all ages, helping them with a wide variety of issues, including physical handicaps, autism spectrum -- communication skills, theory-of-mind skill building, trauma, gifted children with a developmental gap between their cognitive and emotional development, and social/emotional issues as primary focus, as well as helping their parents in the process. With teenagers and adults I address developmental trauma as well, seeking to bring greater calm, inner peace, and more confidence to my clients through deep, transformational inner work. I use music therapeutically as well, having been originally trained as a Music Therapist in New York. There is a special challenge in being gifted, and I have had success in creating beautiful working relationships with such clients of all ages.
I am married with four children. Jerusalem is my home; however, having grown up in the Midwest I'm fluent in both English and Hebrew and work in both languages. I also work online with clients who live abroad.
