ABOUT THE THERAPIST

Practical, compassionate therapy for adults navigating anxiety, overwhelm, life transitions, and the complexities of building a life across cultures.

My Approach to Helping:

I believe therapy should be a place where you can feel genuinely heard and accepted, while also helping you move toward meaningful change. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. Together, we make sense of what is happening in your life, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop tools and new ways of responding that can help you feel more grounded and able to move forward. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I adapt our work to your needs, values, circumstances, and goals. When appropriate, I tend to work in a focused, short- to medium-term way.

Specific Issues I'm Skilled at Helping With:

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, low mood, burnout and emotional overwhelm, as well as those going through difficult life experiences, relationship challenges, periods of uncertainty, and major life transitions. I have particular experience working across cultures and understand that immigration and Aliyah can involve much more than simply adjusting to a new country. Questions of identity and belonging, changing relationships, language and cultural differences, family dynamics, and the gap between the life you expected and the one you are actually living can all become part of the experience.

My Role as a Therapist:

My role is to be a supportive, grounded partner in the therapeutic process. I see therapy as a collaborative space where you are the expert on your own life, while I bring 14+ years of clinical experience to offer structure, perspective, and practical tools to help you navigate what you're facing. I strive to create an inclusive, non-judgmental space where you feel genuinely heard, able to explore difficult thoughts and feelings, and supported in taking meaningful steps toward the life you want.

Additional Information About my Practice:

I am a Registered Social Worker with over 14 years of clinical experience across Canada, Israel, and international settings. My background spans individual therapy, crisis intervention, and supporting adults through periods of significant stress, adversity, and transition. Having relocated back to Israel myself, I bring personal familiarity with the realities of navigating life across cultures and building a home in a new environment. My practice is fully inclusive and warmly welcomes adults of all cultural backgrounds, identities, orientations, gender expressions, and relationship structures. Sessions are conducted online via telehealth across Israel in English and French (Quebec). I offer a free 15-minute introductory call so we can briefly discuss your goals, address any questions, and determine whether working together feels like the right fit for you

TREATMENT APPROACH

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a form of psychotherapy that encourages individuals to accept their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment and to use them as tools to help them to make changes in their lives that are consistent with their values. It is based on the idea that by changing the way we think about our inner experiences, we can reduce emotional distress and increase our sense of well-being.

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)Solution-focused therapy is a type of therapy that focuses on what is going right in a person’s life, as opposed to what is going wrong. It is based on the premise that when a person can identify what is working, they can build on it and make positive changes to the areas of their life that need improvement. A therapist using this approach will often ask questions designed to bring out a person’s strengths and resources, rather than focusing on problems or past issues. The aim of this type of therapy is to help people find solutions to their current problems, in order to build a better future. A solution-focused therapist encourages those in treatment to develop a vision of the future and offers support and guidance as they determine the skills, resources, and abilities needed to achieve that vision successfully.

Systems Theory / TherapySystems therapy is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on understanding how people's behavior is affected by their relationships with others. This form of therapy is based on the idea that the individual is embedded within a larger system, such as a family unit or work environment, and that changes to that system can cause changes in an individual's behavior. Systems therapy emphasizes the importance of understanding how these systems interact and how they can be changed to improve the individual's mental health. The therapist works to identify patterns of behavior in the system, identify areas of conflict or stress, and help the individuals develop strategies to make changes within the system that will lead to healthier outcomes.
