Hi my name is Gabby, I am a Clinical Psychologist with an undergraduate degree from Australia and Masters degree from Tel Aviv University.
I am a native English speaker and offer therapy in both English and Hebrew. My goal is to help clients address their concerns and overcome obstacles that stand in the way of actualizing their potential.
As a Clinical Psychologist, I am qualified to treat individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. I utilize various therapeutic techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy in order to adapt to each client’s unique needs.
I believe that therapy can be transformative, not only for those experiencing clinical symptoms but also for individuals facing life challenges that impact their well-being. I often work with clients navigating relationship difficulties, professional development issues, challenges related to imagination, trauma, and grief.
Over the years I have worked in public mental health clinics and hospitals. For the last 12 years I have focused only on my work with private clients. My clinic is located in the Old North of Tel Aviv, a little south from the port. I believe that there is a lot of value in meeting face to face and although I will work with my clients remotely when needed, my preference is to meet in the clinic. Therapy is an active process which demands time and an investment of emotional resources. Private therapy is also a financial investment. When choosing a therapist, it’s important to take into account the hour available to meet, price and location so as that you can work out the investment that will need to be made. My work hours are generally between 8:00 and 15:00 on weekdays and Fridays. Feel free to be in touch if you would like to discuss the possibility of starting therapy. You can also find more information about me and the therapy I offer at clinicpsy.co.il.

Client-Directed Outcome-Informed Therapy (CDOI)Client-Directed Outcome-Informed Therapy (CDO) is a type of evidence-based psychotherapy that focuses on the client's goals, values, and preferences to guide treatment decisions. It emphasizes the importance of assessing outcomes to ensure that treatment is effective and the client's needs are being met. CDO also emphasizes the need for collaboration between the client and therapist, with the client taking an active role in their treatment and recovery.
Psychodynamic TherapyPsychodynamic therapy is a form of therapy that focuses on the unconscious mind and how it affects behavior. It works to help people understand and work through past experiences and feelings that may be causing difficulties in the present. This type of therapy encourages individuals to explore their emotions, relationships, and behaviors in order to gain insight into their current difficulties. It can help individuals better understand themselves and their motivations, and gain insight into how past events have impacted their current lives. People tend to develop defense mechanisms when faced with challenges in life. Defense mechanisms may keep painful feelings, memories, and experiences in the unconscious. A few common defense mechanisms include: denial, repression, and rationalization. Psychodynamic therapists encourage people to speak freely about their emotions, desires, and fears. Being open may help uncover vulnerable feelings that have been pushed out of conscious awareness. According to psychodynamic theory, behavior is influenced by unconscious thought. Once painful feelings are brought forth and processed, the defense mechanisms are no longer needed and a person in treatment can start changing unhelpful patterns when coping with life’s challenges.

Therapist's Experience with Gap Year Students
I grew up in a youth movement and participated in a year program. Before I qualified as a psychologist I worked with students and youth movements on Israel programs through the Jewish Agency. As a psychologist, I’ve treated individuals in Israel on programs and on internships.
