This course will provide advanced tools for couples therapists in helping ADHD couples to navigate their relationship more effectively.
Course Overview
The workshop will cover:
1. Creating Agreements for Security and Repair:
- Help couples develop agreements that foster security and facilitate repair.
- Emphasize the importance of avoiding dismissiveness and excuses in conflict resolution.
2. Using Psychodrama for Addressing Issues:
- Utilize psychodrama techniques to replay and analyze problematic scenes with couples.
- Address negative assumptions, miscommunications, and errors in processing through role-playing and reenactment.
3. Understanding and Working with Communication Styles:
- Explore different communication styles and how they impact relationships.
- Identify negative narratives and how they impact communication
4. Latest Research Insights:
- Share the latest research on attachment styles, ADHD, Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD), and other relevant topics.
- Discuss how these findings can be applied to improve relationship dynamics.

Lisa Rabinowitz, MA, LCPC, specializes in couples therapy, attachment and ADHD. Lisa is a Certified Gottman Couples Therapist and PACT Certified Candidate Couples Therapist, as well as a member at both CHADD and ADDA. Lisa counsels couples in MD, VA, FL, DE, VT, BC, Israel and internationally. She presented at the International ADHD Conferences in 2022 and 2023. Lisa trains counselors and coaches on the most effective approaches for working with couples with ADHD.
