The Israeli Center for Forest Therapy – Forest Therapy Israel
Forest Therapy Israel promotes forest therapy as a research-based approach that supports health, emotional well-being and resilience through mindful, guided time in nature.
Our programs follow a structured forest therapy protocol, combining sensory awareness, slow and intentional time in the forest, and guidance by certified forest therapy facilitators. Unlike an ordinary walk in nature, forest therapy is a guided process designed to deepen connection with the natural environment through the senses, encourage presence and relaxation, and provide practical tools for coping with stress, burnout and emotional strain.
Programs are offered as group experiences and may include a single three-hour session or a series of guided sessions. Our work supports adults coping with stress, burnout, anxiety and trauma-related challenges, as well as reservists, disabled IDF veterans, professionals, educators and organizational teams.
Forest Therapy Israel also works with qualified mental-health professionals as part of programs requiring therapeutic support. Ya'ar Efsharuyot in Petah Tikva serves as the Israeli Center for Forest Therapy and experiential learning in nature. Located in a private eucalyptus forest, the center is used for guided programs, professional training and research.
Forest Therapy Israel is also active in facilitator training, the development of forest therapy trails and research aimed at advancing the use of nature as a resource for health and well-being in Israel.
