Navigating life is a challenging task at the best of times and there are times when life may feel like anything BUT the best. Hi, my name is Yaela, and I work with clients on finding their inner strength and wisdom in order to navigate through life and its challenges. Aloneness brings suffering and shame but in finding the language to make sense of your experience and sharing what you are going through with a professional, your struggles can be transformed and create new depths in your life. I work mainly with women and, as a result of the current situation in Israel, tend to focus on issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, transitions and self-esteem.
I am trained as an Expressive Arts Therapist and have done further training in IFS, psycho-drama, Narrative Therapy and Yoga Therapy. My approach is integrative, and I meet you where you are. The belief underlining my approach to therapy is that you already have the innate resources, creativity and wisdom to heal and that our work together is about finding, developing and using your abilities in order to see your life with "new eyes". The work is mostly talk-based with creative or embodied techniques incorporated into our sessions, tailored for the person who sits in front of me. Unlike other relationships in your life, in this space I demand and expect nothing from you and the space we create together is a unique opportunity for you to be who you are and discover who you want to become.
My specialities include: Depression and anxiety and finding tools to live with these challenges, Relationships/ dating and marriages, Life-transitions including employment/study/career-change themes, Immigration and aliyah, Nervous and emotional-system regulation, Stress and post-trauma.
As a therapist I am trained to listen deeply and ask questions that may encourage you to think differently about parts of yourself and your life. Building trust is something that takes times and the therapeutic "chemistry" needs to be felt in order for the work to work. Many of my clients are working with specific goals and have found homework/tasks between sessions to be valuable. My role is to meet you as you are and to guide you to explore parts of yourself and your life that "normal life" does not allow for.
As a result of logistics and life-pressures, most of my clients have switched to online sessions via Zoom where they can access therapy from the comfort of their home. I offer special discounts for new olim and for family members of hostages and wives of soldiers.

Body-Mind PsychotherapyBody-mind psychotherapy is an integrative approach to psychological treatment that draws from both psychotherapeutic and somatic/body-based approaches. It emphasizes the interconnection between physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual aspects of being. This approach seeks to help individuals explore how physical sensations, emotions, thoughts and beliefs influence their behavior and well-being. Through this exploration, individuals can gain insight into how the body and mind interact to create patterns of behavior, and how those patterns can be changed to promote healing and wellness.
Drama TherapyDrama therapy encourages clients to express their feelings and solve problems through storytelling, puppetry, role-playing, games, scripts, improvisation, and performance. Through role playing, improvisation, and creative expression, clients can practice scenarios like being in a relationship, or rehearse new skills that they would like to incorporate into their daily lives. Through these activities, the client can explore feelings, gain insight, and increase self-awareness. In addition, the client can gain new perspectives, develop communication skills, and practice problem-solving strategies. Drama therapy can also help build self-confidence and foster resilience.
Emotional Freedom TechniqueEmotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an alternative therapy for emotional and physical distress. It is based on the idea that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system. EFT is a form of psychological acupressure, in which a combination of physical tapping and verbal affirmations are used to help the body release the emotional and physical distress.
Expressive Arts TherapyExpressive Arts Therapy is particularly beneficial for clients who struggle with describing what they are feeling verbally. Through imagination and creation of different art forms, clients are able to interpret and communicate their inner world and catalyze healing. Expressive arts therapy can involve the use of multiple modalities, such as visual arts, music, movement, drama, storytelling, poetry, and play. It is used to help individuals of all ages, including children and adults, to explore their feelings, reconcile emotional conflicts, foster self-awareness, manage behavior and addictions, develop social skills, improve reality orientation, and solve problems.

Therapist's Experience with Gap Year Students
Hi, I have worked with international students going through challenges of transitioning to Israel and being in an intense learning and growth experience (most clients have been from Pardes Institute or Noa Girls). I have acute understanding of the needs of individuals during this time of their lives.
