I am a U.S. licensed psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with teens, young adults, adults, couples and families. A recent oleh, I have extensive experience working within Jewish day schools in the U.S. and in private practice in both locations.
My practice is focused on helping patients with conflict resolution, communication skills, anger management, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), childhood non-compliance, adult and child anxiety, depression, coping with divorce, and marriage counseling.
I use an eclectic approach to therapy that integrates practical interventions from various modalities, while emphasizing family-of-origin, attachment theory, and the role of unconscious motivation in current behavior. Transitioning from 20 years working in high schools as a psychologist and administrator, a large portion of my practice here in Israel is devoted to working with post-high school students studying in various gap year programs, yeshivot and midrashot, helping them manage this sometimes overwhelming year of independence, questioning, transition, and growth. I also see local English-speaking couples, families, and individual patients age 16 and above.
In addition to my clinical work, I have lectured extensively on topics including effective communication skills, positive 'grandparent-ing,' teens and screens, developing practical and useful structures for children and adolescents at school and at home, and understanding the teenage mind. I also have supervised numerous psychologists-in-training both in the U.S. and in Israel.

Therapist's Experience with Gap Year Students
After 20 years in American Jewish High Schools & Universities, the Gap-Year population is a natural area of focus. I work with young men and women struggling with Anxiety, Adjustment issues, Depression, Social Challenges or just trying to "figure it out".
