I am a dually Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I provide a supportive and accepting environment to allow each client to navigate the challenging path to sobriety. I have extensive experience working with individuals, spouses, parents and Adult Children of Alcoholics/Addicts (ACOA,), and anyone who wishes to recover from their direct and indirect experiences with addiction. My approach is client centered and therefore I utilize various modalities in my work with clients, tailoring therapy to the needs of the individual. Before moving to Israel, I worked both in private practice and treatment centers and gained experience and exposure to the disease of addiction. Substance abuse is a serious issue that if not addressed, can have lethal consequences. Working on the front lines in detox and residential programs, I witnessed first-hand the damage caused by excessive drinking, or how prescription pain killers can lead to opiod addiction, just to name a few. But I also saw people acquire life skills and thrive in therapy to rebuild their lives and restore a sense of stability and normalcy to their lives. Change is possible. Therapy is a unique and individual process and is an essential component in addiction treatment and the quest for sobriety. Through a non-judgmental and collabarative relationship you will discover how you can gain strength and insight from the issues that have burdened you in the past.
