DESCRIPTION

Depression affects people from all walks of life. Join our English-Speaking community for support and inspiration in our twice-monthly meetings in Nachlaot, Jerusalem. These meeting are in-person.

Depression works by a vicious process of isolation and avoidance. As people become more depressed they reach out to less people and isolate themselves more, either out of embarrassment of their current state, or inability to get motivated. A support group is a safe space to open up about the struggles of depression and low-mood, as well as a springboard to health, both mentally, physically, and spiritually.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have held groups which have created a new sense of purpose for the participants as well as a new found ability to connect with their inner emotions and outer relationships. We begin by delving inwards towards the core of the issue, and then bringing the attention to our outer environment and what hurdles we can overcome to become our best selves and most confident beings.

Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month. Reserve your spot today! Contact: Avi-Natan Zadaka, LICSW
