I am a licensed clinical psychologist, specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), one of the evidence-based treatment approaches. I made aliyah in 2016 after having a private practice for the previous 5 years, working part-time for 3.5 years at The Chicago Lighthouse for People Who are Blind or Visually Impaired, and teaching. Prior to that I worked in a small group practice in Chicago, Illinois. I also have worked as a psychologist in various medical settings or in collaboration with other medical professionals including chronic pain, oncology, vision impairment and loss, and weight loss.
I primarily provide individual treatment with adults and the elderly, I do also work with adolescents and on occasion children. My approach to therapy is collaborative and is grounded in the principles of CBT and Client-centered psychotherapy. I also integrate aspects of interpersonal, supportive, insight focused, solution focused, relaxation, mindfulness, short-term, and biofeedback in my approach to individualized treatment.
My focus is to provide goal oriented therapy, with the purpose of helping people move forward toward their own chosen goals even after they have left therapy. I am committed to providing treatment that is high quality, compassionate, empathic, evidence based, and which is tailored to each client’s individual needs and goals. I will work to tailor the therapy specifically to your needs, based on a rich understanding of both your history and present concerns. I bring qualities of empathy, optimism, and expertise, key ingredients towards a positive therapy experience.
I look forward to the chance to talk with and collaborate with you. You call me to set up an initial telephone consultation and convenient meeting time.
