I specialize in helping survivors of sexual abuse and trauma, as well as individuals struggling with addiction, eating disorders and other emotional difficulties. I also offer specialized treatment for dissociative disorders. I welcome clients of all ages, ranging from adults to young children.
I am a compassionate creative and intuitive therapist. I approach treatment based on the belief that every individual has the inner resources to heal, grow, and change. My goals are to help my clients to connect with these resources, which will guide them long after therapy is over. I provide a collaborative, supportive and non judgmental space for you to heal and recover.
I have extensive training and experience in the field of complex trauma in adults and children, and in the treatment of self harming/addictive behaviors. I have been in the field of clinical social work since 2004 and use a variety of approaches such as talk therapy, art therapy, CBT, DBT, EMDR, mind body techniques, Internal Family Systems (IFS), yoga, and play therapy. Through treatment my clients are able to process traumatic experiences at their own pace, break out of the cycle of self destructive behaviors, and release pain and shame, enabling them to increase emotional stability and build a repertoire of healthy coping and relationship skills. In short, I will help you to pick up the pieces shattered by trauma/addiction/self harming behaviors to build a healthy and whole sense of self.
I provide therapy through A Healing Space, a practice which I co-founded. A Healing Space strives to offer long and short term treatment to clients from diverse circumstances. Therefore we offer sliding scale on a case by case basis as well as highly subsidized treatment services for sexual abuse survivors. I look forward to hearing from you.
