I have spent the last 40 years as a Play and Family Therapist for children 2-11 years old and their families. I was trained psychoanalytically from Columbia University in NY. Over the years I trained at the Ackerman Institute in NY, the Philadelphia Child Guidance Center and the Menninger Clinic KS. I have spent my years in the Play Room playing with sand, the doll house, puppets, board games and more, in order to listen to, try to understand, and help children communicate their most intimate feelings and thoughts. Play is the language of children. In addition, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Filial, and Child Centered, to list a few, have always been incorporated into my practice.
After successfully running 2 clinics, Kids-Incorporated, in Nebraska and Kansas, Publishing several books, and creating a Play Therapy Webinar Exchange, kidsincplaytherapy.com, my wife and I made Aliyah in 2019.
I fortunately maintain a consulting and supervision presence in the US. Many clinicians who want to either become a Registered Play Therapist or just want to learn about Play Therapy, contact me to supervise their work. Before I retire, I want to make sure I leave a "foot print" in the sand. I believe I have already touched thousands of lives.......and, I want to continue while in Israel.
