Ethical practice is a cornerstone of clinical excellence and a critical component of high-quality client care. At GHI, we view ethics as a living, evolving framework that requires ongoing reflection, dialogue, and professional accountability.
To support this commitment, GHI offers quarterly Ethics Consultation Groups for members of the Association.
Course Overview
GHI's quarterly consultation groups provide a structured, collegial space for clinicians to come together under the guidance of members of GHI’s Ethics Committee to explore current ethical issues and discuss relevant clinical dilemmas.
Each group includes discussion of emerging ethical topics, such as the ethical implications of AI in clinical practice and dual relationships in small communities, alongside participant-presented cases. These meetings encourage clinicians to think critically, learn from colleagues’ experiences, and contribute their own professional perspectives in a supportive, reflective environment.
These consultations are designed to strengthen ethical discernment, reduce professional isolation, and promote the highest standards of care for the clients we serve.
Members who attend Ethics Consultation Groups receive an annual Ethics Badge on their GHI profile, representing a current and active commitment to ethical excellence, ongoing professional development, and responsible clinical practice.
