Get Help Israel’s aim is to verify the accuracy and updated information of the name, contact details and credentials of the therapist; and that the therapist is not subject to any licensing restrictions. Get Help Israel seeks to verify the factual accuracy of the information about the therapist at the time that he/she is listed in the directory, and every year annually at the time of renewal of the registration. Get Help Israel is not responsible for any change of credentials of the therapist in the interim period following such registration and/or renewal of registration of the therapists in its directory.
While Get Help Israel seeks to verify the factual accuracy regarding information pertaining to the therapists listed in its directory, Get Help Israel does not confirm the truth or accuracy as to what the therapists have represented to Get Help Israel or what they have requested to be listed and made public on the Site. Persons considering contacting any of the therapists listed in the directory are urged to conduct their own independent investigation and evaluation before retaining his/her services.
Sheryl Prenzlau MSWClinical Social Worker
My goal as a therapist is to combine my skills, and offer each of my clients a unique blend of treatment that is best suited for her and her particular situation, in order to help her achieve real changes in her life. My clients gain tools that can help them learn to live their lives more effectively, and with more confidence in themselves and their abilities.
I have been trained and certified to practice CBT – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and am certified as a member in good standing of ITA, the Israeli Association of Cognitive Behavioral Therapists, and as a Professional member of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF).
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a type of therapy that helps you change the way you think (cognitive) about yourself, other people, and situations in your life. It can also help you change the way you act (behavioral).
I specialize in treating teenage girls and women who suffer from Anxiety Disorders, which include Obsessive Thoughts, Panic Disorder, Health Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Phobias, Generalized Anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I also work with Self-Esteem Issues, Anger Management, Addictions, and do 12 step counselling.
I strongly believe in the “mind-body” connection, and in helping people learn how to self-regulate their emotions, and calm down their own nervous systems. This helps one learn how to regain control, instead of being “out of control”.
I am also a certified TAT Professional, using Energy psychology for very effective treatment of trauma, stuck or limiting beliefs and other life’s difficulties.
I have also been trained in other therapy modalities- such as Internal Family Systems, EFT, REBT (Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy) SE (Somatic Experiencing), Inference Based Therapy (for OCD) and Mindfulness Interventions, and Reality Therapy.
Rabbinic and Psychiatric consultations will be arranged when necessary.
