Peri Ruttner Bsc PsychologyPsychotherapist
Entering therapy is perhaps the biggest gift you could give yourself!
I have been greatly inspired by Irvin D. Yalom who wrote, that ” We must create a new therapy for each client.” I believe in the individuation process of each patient.
I am an integrative therapist using whatever modalities I feel will help a client overcome their problems. I am greatly informed by Jungian Psychology, where the analyst and patient work together to bring unconscious elements of the psyche into a more balanced relationship with conscious awareness.
To achieve this I use sand-tray therapy as well as engaging in dream analysis. This is a fascinating process dialoguing with our unconscious world. Once we have awareness we can work towards change.
I work with both adults and children with a particular affinity for adolescents. In my work with children there is a strong element of parental collaboration. It is my belief that a child is part of a system and working with the parents will affect the most change.
I believe people have the answers inside themselves. It is my honour to travel with them on their journey towards self as the discover the latent potential inside.
